Would your daughter like a job at the Store??

Oriwa our special & youngest staff member has finished working with us as her family have moved into Nelson to live. So we are looking for a 15yr old+ who will be an intergral part of keeping our Store clean for our customers. We feel this to be an important role and complements how we offer to you our customers our products. So we are looking for a conscientious, happy girl who takes pride in what she does......(and may be who also LOVES scrapbooking!) We would like her to be available 1-2 days a week (or 3 days a fortnight) after school from 3:30 - 5pm......days are flexible. Please apply by email to lyn@thescrapbookstore.co.nz (not by phone) and I am happy to answer any questions by email also. Start date is immediate. Looking forward to hearing from you all....................thanks Lyn

My suprise class is no longer a surprise...it's a little "quote book"

For those of you attending this class tomorrow night here is a list to bring: your tool kit, photos if you don't wish to make a quote book......16 pics will fill the book, these need to be cropped to 3.5" x 3.5". Bring Tombow or your favourite glue, and glue dots (these will be on 15% discount just for the class night to participants), an awl if you have, and bring your little box of trinkets and embellishments for decorating if you wish to personalise.

Quote Book

Your kit will have everything in it to complete the book however there may be a little homework to do as we must dimensional magic and glitter and construct the book on the night. I have made it as easy as I can for you, mostly cut paper to fit, and quotes are pre-printed for you...

In my book I have added 3 photos....my two best friends and a pic of a couple of books I am reading at present.

Can't wait to see you in class! Lyn

PS Bring your camera to take pics of mine after class if you wish.....

Thanks E.........lovely to hear from you....

Lets give Evana something to cheer about in the midst of all the heavy "stuff" they are experiencing.......I would like to encourag you to get those layouts for her book finished this week......(this Friday night Moonlight Madness would be a great place to do that too if time is an issue) and get them into the Store by Saturday and I will post off to her at the weekend..........I know you have probably started! For those of you who haven't begun or thought about this......its a small size so quick and easy to do.....8x8"....I would LOVE to be packing a large bag for her......there is one already sitting waiting!! I know what this would mean to her right now! Thanks Lyn.

Hello again

Just catching up (all be it on dial up....grrrrrr) from our temp house still. Yes the house hunting is a rough old process.

Well the Dream house was ours.....or so the manager thought. That was until the owner got advice from their accountant that if they kept ths property there would be a huge capital gains penalty....so he told them to sell. I got the call and I was gutted.....really gutted. The chance to get the kids settled and into scholl and back into some form of routine wqas getting very very attractive and relieving Craig from the commute was getting attractive....but hey. Not meant to be I guess.

So yesterday we were back on the horse....out there driving past a bunch of houses. The property managers do a great job of making them look and sound awesome but some of them simple are not. It is a frustrating process but necessary, so for now....we are still here. Still with 4 kids who are ready to eat eachother out of frustration, and a mum who is probably loosing the plot a touch...lol....more anyhow.

So great to hear that Jackies first class was awesome. I knew you would all love her style. GREAT WORK JACKIE! So nice to read all the posts Lyn....fab job at that. Just makes me miss you all the more. Miss all the customer contact and the layouts for the monthly comp and the classes.....but....we are all fine. Just looking forward to a time when we have some normality and routine....BRING THAT ON! and of course all my stash which is floating the big ocean between Melbourne and Fremantle. Due in on the 27th but will be another month probably before we have it all.....providing we have a house to put it in...lol

Ok....calls to make....things to do. HAPPY HOUSE THOUGHTS! Thanks for all the well wishes everyone.

Huge Hugs everyone. Miss coffee Kerry

Jackie's "I Love you" layout class was a hit.....

Thanks to all you ladies who came along and supported Jackie in her first ever class.....I know you learnt heaps that night going home with techniques you will be able to apply to other projects, and you have another layout nearly completed for your album! Jackie had fun too......so much that yesterday she was already organising the next layout..........and this is FABULOUS!! All I am going to say at this stage is you will be creating a transparency pocket..........and there will be lots of goodies cut from the Cricut Expressions machine in your pack........wonder if she will let me come to this class?? (Thanks Joy for posting that lovely comment for Jackie too.)

Also in July Kerry will be doing her regular KIS class on the first wednesday night and on the last wednesday she is making a fabulous Passport Wallet using the 7Gypsies papers and file folders cut on the Cricut Expressions machine..........it is totally cool. There are other classes planned you'll get to see on the calendar that will be posted next weekend.

August is our card class month.....there will be Christmas cards so you can catch early posting deadlines, and a series of general cards. We have another surprise for you, Philippa will be taking card classes during the day....her cards are fabulous! I'll be taking a couple of card classes in the evening for those who can't make the day.

Happy Scrapping over the weekend.....see you tomorrow Lyn.
