Being off line for one week was bad enough, however three weeks I didn't cope at all well with......it made me dwell on how much I use and rely on technology. In my generation, we have sent hand-written letters for many years so I had at least that to fall back on or I picked up the telephone......I keep thinking how much anxiety this must produce in the young generation when it happens to them. That instant contact is gone, it is all they know.
For me I LOVE having the contact with all my friends around the globe so easily but I would be OK to write letters or postcards more often if I needed too! Finding mail in the letterbox is such a joyful thing.....and part of why I write to others now and again. And another reason I love Christmas time so much....have you finished sending your xmas mail? Mine cards will get posted this coming week.
